报告人简介：Prof. Zhang is a molecular biologist with expertise in cell cycle regulation, cell cycle checkpoints, genome stability, and tumorigenesis. He has extensive experience in the analysis of mouse models. Publications from the laboratory include work on dissecting the function of cell cycle inhibitors, DNA damage response regulators, and spindle assembly checkpoint in mice. His lab discovered the aneuploidy checkpoint that responds to abnormalities in karyotypes. Prof. Zhang is an expert in molecular engineering. He invented a way of cloning large pieces of mouse genomic DNA for the purpose of constructing knockout vectors which was published in Nature Genetics and granted a US patent. The Zhang research group contains students and postdocs. The laboratory offers a highly interdisciplinary training ground for students interested in using in vitro and in vivo models to solve pressing medical and health problems.
